| Dromeus Global Opportunities Fund Manager comments on emerging market bonds and currenciesCommenting on the recent performance of emerging market bonds and currencies, the main focus of the Dromeus Global Opportunities Fund, Jason Manolopoulos, Fund Manager at Dromeus, said:
By: Broadgate “Recently they have been the staple fodder satisfying the hunger of some eager retail investors looking to maximise yield opportunities. In fact, we have seen party-time conditions with no global credit crisis evident in this neck of the woods. “What is triggering this feel-good factor surrounding emerging market debt and currency? It’s a difficult one to pinpoint, but it seems to have finally sunk into many market participants that Quantitative Easing is here to stay and interest rates will remain hovering at low levels for plenty of time to come. When prices rally, people begin believing that the world is a better place, leading to further purchases and price increases, creating a virtuous cycle. But, obviously, this isn’t a never-ending cycle of prosperity. It cannot go on indefinitely and “boring” factors such as relative value and credit analysis will reassert themselves. But, for now at least, keep those party decorations up. Emerging Markets seem set to carry on shining brightly.” For more information: James Bishop Broadgate jbishop@bgate.co.uk 02077266111 # # # Founded in 1994, Broadgate is an award-winning company that specialises in financial services public relations.
