Oct. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA, 10/9/09 - "Paper Boys" from Atlanta's Aware Productions has won a prestigious Award of Excellence in the feature film category, along with 3 others for acting, editing and over-all post production from "The Accolade Competition".

A coming-of-age dramatic film full of comic relief, drug issues, concerns of sexual identity and individual economic problems, "Paper Boys" is an ensemble piece which focuses on a group of teen door-to-door salesmen and their sale manager/mentor. The main story covers a difficult period in the life of Sean (Louis Lavdas) after he returns from rehab where his girlfriend committed suicide. However, he also continues to suffer from his drug addiction, a violent family past, and confusion over his sexuality.

Producers Bryan E. Hall (also Writer and Director), J. Howard Bach and Kevin Christopher were pleasantly surprised to not only win but to receive additional honors.

"It has been a product of 15 years of dreaming and negotiating, 100+ committed artists and a full year in post-production", said Hall. "Paper Boys addresses many taboo subjects while maintaining a wonderful decency; as most teens will identify with the rarely discussed problems and experiences. Raucous and rich music and soundtrack provide a spellbinding envelope for this poignant portrayal of modern male teen issues."
