Radiant Systems Congratulates Customers for Hot Concepts! Wins

Oct. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- ATLANTA — Radiant Systems, Inc.  congratulates Smashburger, Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria and The Lazy Dog Café, three customers receiving Nation’s Restaurant News 2009 Hot Concepts! awards for distinguished innovation, concept and business strategy.

Since 1995, the editors of NRN have chosen multi-unit restaurants with creative and original concepts as winners of the Hot Concepts! awards, which are presented at the NRN Multi-Unit Food Service Operators (MUFSO) conference in Dallas, Texas, each fall. Judging is based on a variety of factors such as entrepreneurial spirit, success of business strategy, rate of growth and financial accomplishment. Restaurants in consideration for the Hot Concepts! award must have been in business for no longer than seven years. Over the past 14 years, many Hot Concepts! winners have continued to become some of the largest, most recognized multi-unit chains in the United States.

The three-unit, California-based The Lazy Dog Café fuses American cuisine with international flavors from Italy, France, China and South America. Denver-based Smashburger, which has grown to 31 units in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota and Texas with plans to grow to into a 500-unit national brand, “smashes” its high-end burgers on the grill to lock in flavors. Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria is a four-unit chain based in Seattle. The restaurant is one of a select few pizza restaurants in the world to receive the Verace Pizza Napoletana certification, identifying them as creators of “True Neapolitan Pizza.” This year’s winners were recognized on October 4th at the “A Taste of What’s Hot” Celebration Reception held during the NRN conference.
