Using eBay pulse has got to be the first thing you do when trying to make money on eBay. Why? Let me explain, eBay pulse is the holy grail of what's hot and selling on eBay as we speak. You're journey to making money becomes a lot easier if you know what's already selling on eBay.

Dig Deeper

Once you find a hot category, you need to dig a little deeper into this category to find the low hanging fruit. Simply don't choose the first one you come to because that's what everyone does. Try looking at categories like musical instruments or cameras and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and just how many niche categories there are looming around on eBay.

Find The Top Selling Items On eBay

Once you've found a nice little niche category, click on that category and eBay will take you to the live auctions. Once here you need to find out how this market is selling and what they're selling for. On the left hand panel of eBay you'll see a tab called "completed listings". Click on this tap and it will display all the items that were sold and what they were sold for.

Not only do you now know what category is hot you now have a pretty good idea the items that you need to sell and what to sell them for. Not bad eh?

The eBay Reverse Reconnaissance Method

I'll give you an introduction to this tactic since this article is far too small to go into any real detail here. What is TERRM. This is a method the big boys don't want me talking about. In fact I'll probably get blasted in the forums for revealing this technique. If you follow the steps I've just showed you, you need to apply TERRM. This is the process of mimicking auctions that are selling well and improving on them. The easiest ways to do this are changing the title so that you have as many keywords (buying words) in there as possible.

Write a story about the product or how you had great success doing it. People love a story and can really engage with you and your item if you sell one. Add a small YouTube video into your eBay auction. By the way, this is really easy to do and it take a couple of minutes of copying and pasting. You're now a walking, talking shopping channel, and you know how much money they make selling over-priced items.
