Sept. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Durham, NC---- The Women's Ministry of St. Joseph's AME Church will host their 3rd Women's Conference, entitled: New Beginnings: Signs, Wonders and Miracles.  Six dynamic ordained women will serve as the workshop leaders and speakers throughout the 3-day event, September 25-27, 2009.

Evangelist Betty Johnson Smith of Hope Mills, NC,  will serve as the speaker of the opening night of the conference, Friday, September 25th.

The conference workshops begin concurrently on Saturday, September 26, starting at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Phyllis Joyner, of Durham, NC, will show conference participants how to start-over, with her presentation: Starting Over-Redeemed, Restored & Ready! Have Thine Own Way Lord.

Minister Lorraine Maynard, also of Durham, NC, will present: How Do You Get Back Up Again- Faithful, Focused & Fearless.

Rev. Kathy Merritt of Greensboro, NC, pastor and founder of New Birth Community AME Church--one of the fastest growing AME churches in the nation, will focus her message on young women ages 16-30. Her R.A.W. message, Revelant Application of the Word, is critically acclaimed, and will teach young women how not to succumb to the various pressures of the world, by using the age-old wisdom of biblical truth, taught in a manner that they can relate to.

The nominal conference registration fee includes a catered lunch. During the lunch period, participants will be encouraged to give praise reports and testimonials of their experiences.

The closing session of the conference will present award-winning Gospel artist, Jennifer Evans of Chapel Hill, NC, as the featured conference entertainment. Evangelist Jennifer Kostyal, of Wilmington, NC, founder of Transformed By the Word MInistries, will round out the day's activities, by delivering a message of deliverance. Kostyal's ministry has impacted thousands of people throughout the country, as she has recounted her own troubled past of child molestation --having been abused by an extended family member, and yet again, while a member of a religious cult. Kostyal's deliverance from darkness, and mental collaspe, provides her with a unique insight into the emotional and spiritual health of the more than 80% of the female population in the US who have been molested as children.

Women will remain as the focus during the 11:00 a.m.Sunday, September 27 worship service at St. Joseph's AME Church, when Apostle Sarah Roberson Duncan, of Irvington, New Jersey is set to deliver the message to conference guests, and church members at-large.
