PRLog -- Yogo Kimura is the general counsel for SPARX Group Co., Ltd., a holding company for a group of firms that are engaged in securities, global asset management, and investment advisory. The SPARX Group invests through a variety of innovative strategies with global clients including corporate pension annuities, governmental entities, private and trust banks, and public pension funds. Yogo joined SPARX in 2008 after five years of practice as litigator and almost thirty years of practice with the international law firm of Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, Tokyo (formerly Hamada & Matsumoto; specialists in securities and international finance and banking). He plays an integral role at the SPARX Group for various contracts, investment fund management business, international finance, and group management. Yogo received his LLB from the University of Tokyo in 1970 and MCL from the University of Michigan Law School in 1986. He is recognized as a premier Japanese attorney, specializing in laws and regulations in the areas of securities, banking, and asset management of investment funds, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Yogo credits his success to his passion for his field and a highlight of his career was being the legal counsel on the acquisition of a company that was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Despite the demanding nature of his profession, Yogo finds time to volunteer as an elder for the local church and supports various other charitable organizations throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area. In his leisure time, he enjoys singing in a local chorus as well as reading Japanese legal publications.
