Aug. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Part 1: Using Text And Multimedia Messaging To Sell Pizzas!

This article is the continuation of "Part 1: Using Text And Multimedia Messaging To Sell Pizzas!," now we are about to discuss here how mobile phones can be used to market a much larger audience. Learn how you can properly use mobile marketing to increase your profits, keep customers coming back and have an edge over your competitors.

Embedding Google Maps

Want to add your business to Google Maps? Follow these simple steps:
• Go to the Google Local Business Center and click “Add/Edit Your Business” link.
• Before registering your business, make sure that it isn't already listed. Avoid duplicate listings by searching for your business name within your city.
• If you can see that your business is already listed, click “Claim Your Business” but if not, carry on with the procedure of adding a new listing.
• You will receive a personal identification number (PIN) which you can either choose to receive by mail of phone. Your PIN will be entered to your account activating your listing, it can take up to 1 month so just relax.
• Your landing page allows you to provide an interactive means for customers to map their way to your location. To locate you, all they have to do is click on a link within your Web site and they are taken to an accurate road map with directions.

Profiting from all of these hard work

Today, mobile marketing is all about the multi-channel approach. To most effectively communicate with your current and prospective customer base, do all the means of traditionally marketing your business such as posters, ads, billboards, etc. along with mobile marketing, wich also includes online and email marketing.

Treat your mobile community as a part of a wider marketing community, not something you run alongside it.

For example, sending someone a piece of direct mail about the latest special offer puts something physical in the hands of the consumer but won’t guarantee that it’s available to them when they need it. Consider delivering coupons to customers on their mobile devices, so they are stored and always ready to use. Use the traditional flyer to let people know about your text messaging services, for example by offering short code addresses to get them started.

By simply adding your mobile marketing as a component of your marketing strategies, you'll be able to expand your reach to the multi-tasking, on-demand generation that demands something more than the traditional media.
