Follow on Google News | CuteyBaby Designs for a CureWall decal company donates design and materials to help vehicles stand out during the Susan G. Komen 3-day Walk for Breast Cancer. CuteyBaby owner Ada Vaughan's designs delight walkers and improve safety.
By: CuteyBaby, LLC The Sweep Team consists of 7 vans which travel the route of the walkers and pick-up people who are worn out or injured and need to be taken to the nearest pit stop. 3-day event walkers walk 20 miles per day for a total of 60 miles over a single weekend. The 3-day walk took place this year on the weekend of August 7-9. Over 1,800 walkers braved the hottest weekend of the summer plus intermittent rains throughout, making the Sweep Team Crew Members’ role especially important this year. Vaughan’s lively Western-themed decals provided comic relief for the 1,800 participants struggling in the intense heat. The van featured large wall decals with slogans such as “We Need More Cowbell!” and “Yee-Haw! Get Along Little Doggies!” in a writing style that represented lasso rope. Walkers that took advantage of the "sweep" said the CuteyBaby van made them smile and one person even told volunteers she waited specifically for the CuteyBaby Sweep Team van because she wanted to ride in the coolest Sweep Van! The Sweep Team often has to drive through city traffic, so it is important for the Team and for the walkers that the van stands out. Because of the decals, participants found it easy to spot the CuteyBaby van approaching and had plenty of time to wave down the Sweep Team. Like the dedicated 3-day walkers, the CuteyBaby decals did not let harsh rain and heat deter from their mission. Tracy Leschin and Chris Coughlin operated the Western-themed Sweep van throughout the 3-day event. “Our CuteyBaby decals stuck really well - especially in a weekend of very crazy weather,” said Leschin. “By day two, the other vans had lost a good deal of their decorations. Not the CuteyBaby van. The decals never moved and were providing giggles throughout the three days.” For more information on CuteyBaby, visit www.cuteybaby.com For more information on the 3-day breast cancer walk, visit www.3day.org # # # About CuteyBaby: our mission is to enrich the lives of parents and children through ingenuity and design.
