‘Fountain Tennis’ Latest Project for On Location Multimedia

Aug. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- CINCINNATI–-A new take on tennis made a splash at King’s Island on August 8 thanks to Sony Ericsson’s unique sponsorship of the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open. Better yet, On Location Multimedia, a high-definition video production company based in Cincinnati, caught it all.
The event, sponsored by Sony Ericsson, took the sport to a place it has never been before–the middle of a fountain at Kings Island.
“The stunt, ‘Fountain Tennis’ is the latest of several spectacular Sony Ericsson stunts that have seen some of the top female athletes on the planet play tennis in unusual places,” said Dan Magnafichi, Producer/Director, On Location Multimedia.
Magnafichi and crew provided video support to the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour to help promote the start of the Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open.  
The event featured Kim Clijsters, former US Open Champion and world ranked No.4 Elena Dementieva. Rising high above the water, a special tennis court was placed on a platform in the middle of the fountain set against the "Kings Island’s Eiffel Tower at the parks entrance. They rallied against each other and lobbed tennis balls into the awe struck crowd, giving onlookers the show of a lifetime.
“The project was unique for us in that we had to shoot footage of the event on Saturday afternoon, edit that night and uplink the final video via satellite for news agencies to download in the United States and Europe on Sunday morning,” said Ken Williamson, CEO, On Location Multimedia.
