PRLog -- Timothy J. Fischer is a vice-president of product development for BD TriPath, a global cancer diagnostics company. He has been in this role for the past three years where he participates in strategic planning for business and technology development as well as the construction of medical tests for cancer and hematological disorders. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and has specific expertise with In-Vitro diagnostics for hematology, pathology and oncology fields with over thirty patented products. He started in his profession due to a commitment to improve healthcare to patients with diseases and credits his success to understanding the complex nature of the healthcare industry and aligning with academic institutions to further the awareness of cancerous diseases. His greatest achievements throughout his career are the automation of the cell counting process, automation of the test to reduce the bleeding disorder, and a test for early detection of cervical, breast and prostate cancers. He has professional affiliations with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), the SSC and frequently volunteers for the local Catholic parish while not working. In his free time he enjoys gardening and motocross. He has made great strides in his field and is looking to continue to promote the awareness of hematological disorders in the future.
