PRLog -- Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut under the leadership of its new Executive Director and CEO, Adrienne Wallace Hayward, will be celebrating the value and bond between mothers and daughters with an inaugural mother and daughter fashion show. A wide array of women and children’s clothing stores within Girls Inc.’s service territory (from Greenwich to Greater Waterbury) will donate or lend the latest fashions to make this event possible. Darien Sports Shop located at 1127 Post Road in Darien has provided Girls Inc. with designer mother and daughter fashions for the event. Additional, Fairfield County sponsors and participating retailers are Saks Fifth Avenue in Stamford, lucy Active Wear of Greenwich, and Stailista of Wilton.
The show called “In-Her Beauty” is designed to encourage parental involvement, an aspirational mindset and self esteem in all girls without regard to their body types, sizes, etc. According to Girls Inc. CEO, Adrienne Wallace-Hayward, “All girls are necessary and we want them to value themselves and their relationships with their mother figures. This event is another great opportunity to remind them of that fact.” Models are Girls Inc. of SWCT members and their mothers and even grandmothers. “In-
Her Beauty” will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 4 PM – 7 PM at 35 Park Place in Waterbury, the lead office where the Girls Club of America started 146 years ago. Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $7.50 for children. All proceeds will support Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut programs. Girls Incorporated is a national non-profit organization that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
