Nexus-Europe guides foreign business to Russian distributors

Despite the economic crisis Nexus-Europe GmbH sees Russia as a land of opportunity for its foreign clients, and is leading the way to distribution agreements there.
Aug. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Nexus-Europe GmbH views the global economic crisis as an opportunity, and is leading its clients to distribution agreements in Russia. Most of the world is experiencing slower production and demand, but Russia continues to expand as it modernizes into a global economic force. "In Russia," says Nexus founder and managing director, Dr. Svetlana Mamkina ( ), " Foreign products and technology will continue to fuel Russia's growth now and in the future. The demand for quality is there."

Connecting foreign suppliers with Russian distributors is what Mamkina and her staff at Nexus are doing for their clients. "Foreign products and services flow into Russia through Russian distributors," says Mamkina. "Our years of experience have created for us a contact base that serves our clients in all industries." While most countries are geographically limited, Russia possesses all environments. Its industries include timber, mining, precious metals, oil and gas, and maritime just to name a few, in addition to housing and construction, transportation and consumer goods that are in high demand in a country that is still mostly underdeveloped by Western standards.

"Each of our clients is unique," says Mamkina. "We take each one as an individual and base our work upon their individual needs." The first step is to identify who is already in the market. This includes both foreign companies and Russian companies. Nexus provides either a short scan or a more detailed market report depending on the wishes of the client. Nexus listens to the client to understand what requirements the client has for potential distributors in Russia.  With this information Nexus can take full advantage of its vast experience, contacts and marketing instruments to locate the companies and distributors which meet the client’s requirements.

When a list of distributors is complete Nexus collects the necessary contact information for the people with authority to make decisions and actions that will benefit the client. "We directly make the introduction of our clients and create the foundation for our clients to negotiate," Mamkina says. "Nothing is gained if they are not speaking to a person of authority. Our function is to open this door."

Nexus clients receive a detailed form containing the information collected on behalf of the client, and Nexus staff estimates their situation. "My staff is the best available in my opinion," Mamkina says with a hint of pride. "If we see an opportunity to benefit our client we will recommend and arrange a trade mission or presentation, perhaps an exhibition that we consider will be successful." Nexus helps the client identify trade exhibitions in Russia that have the most potential benefit. Their staff is experienced in getting from organizers exhibition space at the best locations, providing exclusive stand construction, arranging hotel accommodations, and scheduling meetings for the client with customers. "Basically," Mamkina says, "our clients just need to show up and be ready to sell. We do the rest."

Most foreign companies do not maintain a Russian office, and to open one is a large expense that Mamkina and her Nexus staff think is unnecessary. "We offer our clients the opportunity to communicate and keep correspondence through our Russian office, and to consult with our staff. We can provide full assistance during negotiations to help make the best deal, or just give advice when it is required," Mamkina continues. "We speak the language and understand the business mindset."

The search for distributors  in Russia ( )begins and ends with Nexus-Europe GmbH. Every step of the process is handled by their professional and experienced staff, making it possible for clients in all industries to get the full menu of services from a single provider. The economic crisis has businesses everywhere thinking more efficiently, but Mamkina believes the Nexus efficiency of service was good business before the economic crisis and will be good business after the economic crisis. "There is never a good time to be wasteful of time and money," says Mamkina, "regardless of economic conditions." With Nexus-Europe it is not even a choice. "Quality whether you want it or not," Mamkina says with a smile.

Her clients have plenty of reasons to smile, too.
