World Famous Artist – Shannon Returns To Fest for Beatles Fans in Chicago

Aug. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Shannon is taking time out from her busy schedule to reconnect with fans this weekend at the 32nd Annual Fest for Beatles Fans at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.  Shannon will be bringing along several new works of art and providing demonstrations of the painting technique that has made her world famous.  

This is part of a limited engagement tour as Shannon takes her career from ‘Beatles to Boop’.  When asked about fashioning a modern Betty Boop, Shannon says, “It is an understatement to say I am honored about being at the helm of a ‘new direction’ for the famous Betty Boop. She is an icon of sexual star status level and stands tall against those like Marilyn Monroe. Although just paper and ink ... Some believe she is real. I plan on breathing new life into her.”  Shannon was recently hired by King Features to create the new Betty Boop for today’s youth while still maintaining Betty’s appeal for the young at heart.  

Shannon will be going back into seclusion in the coming months to also work on her upcoming book ‘A Hard Decade’s Night’ about her life growing up ‘Beatles’ from the age of 5 and how she evolved into her title given to her from Liverpool, ‘The World’s Greatest Beatles Artist’.  The book is due for release in March 2010 and will be followed by a promotional tour.

In 1997, the title of 'The World’s Greatest Beatles Artist' was bestowed upon Shannon by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.  Shannon was spent the last two years creating 110 paintings for the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool.  In August 2009, she will be the first non-musician to have her name added to the Cavern Wall of Fame in Liverpool.
