Maxxsonics Car Audio Showdown Makes a Sound Impact for Breast Cancer

Aug. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- For two days, the Maxxsonics Headquarters in Lake Zurich, Illinois totally rocked for hundreds of dB Drag competitors and spectators alike while raising thousands of dollars for Breast Cancer charity with a “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign.

Both previous and current record holders were in attendance over the weekend of July
25-26th trying to earn a place in World Finals to be held later this fall. Numerous trophies
and cash prizes were handed out to winners for the 1x dB Drag/Bass Race on Saturday
and the 2x on Sunday with Greg and Casey Zoller of Extreme Sound Productions present
to officiate the events.

Maxxsonics’ first Car Audio Showdown was held in 2006, while hosting a public viewing of the company’s corporate headquarters that houses popular car and home audio brands MB Quart, Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch. That year, raffle proceeds and donations went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The sport seems to attract those who appreciate big sound and have equally big hearts.
“Every event we’ve hosted has been tied into a charity. We had a great turnout this year and everyone had fun, but the true satisfaction came when we started to add up the amount of money that was raised for Breast Cancer charity,” said Alden Stiefel, CEO and President of Maxxsonics USA.

Although the numbers were not final at time of release, the participation from the donations and daily raffles of Maxxsonics car audio equipment and product from sponsors Kinetik and Second Skin appears to be in the thousands. “We really appreciate the generosity of all the people who came to the events. It was great to see such cohesion between the competitors and the community for such a worthy cause,” concluded Stiefel.
