Dr. Arthur Nylander, Honored as a Premiere Member by Emerald Whos Who for Executives & Professionals

July 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Blackburn, United Kingdom–  Dr. Arthur Nylander, a Consultant Ophthalmologist for  East Lancashire NHS has been honored as a Premiere Member by Emerald Who's Who for Executives and Professionals for showing commitment, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Arthur Nylander graduated from the Medical School, University of Ibadan in Nigeria in 1980. In 1982, he moved to the United Kingdom and trained in the fields of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Arthur Nylander was appointed a Consultant ophthalmologist for the then Burnley NHS Trust in November 1996. This organization is now part of the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. He was the Royal College Tutor in Ophthalmology for the Trust from April 1990 to August 2007.

During the same period, Dr. Arthur Nylander became the lead for Clinical Audit in the department of Ophthalmology for the Trust. He was a Council member of the United Kingdom & Ireland society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons from 2002 to 2008 and has previously been a member of the Surgical Training Committee in Ophthalmology for the North West Deanery procedures management.

Dr. Arthur Nylander was appointed Clinical Lead in Ophthalmology in February 2006, a post he holds to date. Dr. Arthur Nylander is presently an Examiner in Ophthalmology for The Royal College of Ophthalmologist at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the University of Manchester.
