July 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Interacting with members of the opposite sex can often be a fun and rewarding experience. At the same time, if you’re like most people, it can also be an exercise in frustration and confusion. Then came along The Decoder: He Says, She Says by author David Kuoch.

For instance, why do our partners say things to us, when they really mean the exact opposite?  Despite years of therapy, countless books on relationships, and deep conversations that have run into the wee hours of the night, are any of us really closer to understanding what our partner’s are actually thinking?

Have you ever wished you could decode a conversation and read between the lines of what’s really being said in the battle of the sexes? What are men and women really thinking when they say: “It’s not you it’s me!” or “I don’t want to ruin our friendship.” What does it mean when a man or woman you’re dating tells you: “We’re moving too quickly.”  Your wish has been granted.

The Decoder: He Says, She Says gives out the inside scoop on the no-holds barred, unfiltered thoughts of real men and women as they struggle through the messy and hilarious process of trying to communicate with each other.

As a young man in the dating scene, author David Kuoch struggled with why so many like him yearned for a relationship but couldn’t quite pull it off. “I started chatting up hundreds of unattached 20 and 30 somethings during a summer in Los Angeles and I noticed that ‘A Morse Code of amour’ surfaced, a subtext so often lost in translation as the sexes skateboard the dangerous edges of love and lust,” Kuoch says.

Kuoch discovered that “You’re so nice” is one man’s buttering you up and one woman’s “We could never be anything but friends.”

The [mis]communication of the sexes rings true, regardless of one’s current status. And along the way Kuoch found what was real, what was really fake, and what was really funny.
