Flint Rock Fest 2009 Reckless Entertainment proudly presents the 4th annual Flint Rock Fest -Saturday, August 1, 2009 Flint, MI, July 22, 2009: If you love rock music then Flint Rock Fest 2009 is the place to be! 18 bands, 2 venues, 1 day of rock!! Flint Michigan’s only FREE all day, all ages rock festival. Starting out at Kearsley Park, 900 Kearsley Park Blvd, Flint, MI 48503 at noon-9:30pm, then the festival continues at Corunna Road Bar, G-3110 Corunna Rd, Flint, MI 48503 from 9:30pm-2am. Also happening is a charity bike with all proceeds donated to locally based, Cherokee’s Journey Home Foundation (www.cherokeesjourneyhome.org) The Flint Rock Fest is making history by being the only FREE local event that showcases all Flint and Mid Michigan rock/metal bands, local artists and small businesses together in one place. Flint Rock Fest was started 4 years ago with an idea of uniting local bands and local business as one and also displays a positive light on Flint as being a supportive community. This idea has steadily grown into one the largest rock events in Flint, Michigan and has gained interest from the music community worldwide. This year Flint Rock Fest is proud to feature; Reverend Right Time, Free Will, Sour Jane, Last Warning, Mothra, It Lies Within, Givensix, Ruins of Tomorrow, Publik Parking, Lithium, Convergence Theory, Wake of Destruction, BC Smith and the Willie Williams Infestation, Facture, Chrome Mollie, The Round, Pound Drive and Last Summer. Flint Rock Fest 2009 welcomes Kettering University radio show, The Butcher Shop, with DJs, Metal Mike, RT and CD who will be hosting the event this year with an all day live broadcast on Kettering radio station WKUF 94.3 FM. Also happening, Rip It Energy Drink will be out all day supporting the event and having Flint Rock Fest goers take the Rip It Challenge!
