Facebook, Twitter, & Even Myspace should worry about new social network

There is a new social network that has been reported to be releasing possibly within the next month.

July 9, 2009 - PRLog -- A few days ago there was buzz about a new social network to compete against the top networks, but has yet to reveal its name. It has, however, released its tagline: "better than just nice..." and a few screen shots of the look of the site (hint they covered them with "TOP SECRET stamps). This has many Twitterers ( http://bit.ly/5sLzR ) and Facebookers talking about what is to come from this new network.

This new mystery social site is said to have many new components that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Myspace don't all have. Some of these components are on these sites, yet none of them are on one single site as a whole. This seems to be a plus for many social network users.

Other reports have earlier this week about Facebook have had many in a blunder over the changes in the past few months that Facebook has made. A report released by iStrategyLabs show that while the number of Facebook's U.S. high school and college-age users declined over the past six months, its popularity among the 55-and-older crowd is booming. In fact, the number of 55-and-older Facebook users showed staggering growth -- 513.7% -- in the last six months, the digital consulting firm said. ( http://bit.ly/19dufn )

What could this spell for Facebook? Has Facebook reached the end of it's prime. It seem to be losing its main users.

Reports are that this social network will have the following attributes:

1. Embedded Music Player
2. Private & Group Chatting
3. Personal blogging
4. Photo/Video Uploading & Sharing/Tagging
5. Customizable Personal Pages
6. Group Creating
7. Apparel - t-shirts, hats, jogging pants, etc.
8. Personal Email access from social network
9. Widgets and Applications for personal use.
End
