PRLog -- People who want to know more about what is happening in their towns have a new way to do so. With the recent release of smalltowneyes.com, small town citizens have a “community portal” to call their own. The site is largely populated with content authored by local people in some 45,000+ zip codes across the USA and Puerto Rico. The site is primarily geared for those one zip code towns where everybody knows everybody.
The idea in a nutshell, is to share “talk of the town” type tidbits about people and issues at the local level. These are the kind of real local issues that often don’t make the news print. This type of “Citizen Journalism” provides the people an avenue to read and write content with a hyper-local perspective.
This collection of zip code-specific media provides an ideal way for local businesses to geo-target their advertising campaigns to the people and zip codes that matter.
