This question is being asked a lot these days.  It comes down to your personal needs for travel.  Sure you can always go commercially but private jets  do serve an important purpose.  It is a question that needs further analysis.  By this I mean let’s outline instances where a private jet would be a useful tool.  Here are some examples.  Let’s say you are flying to a remote destination where there are no commercial airports.  In this case you would have to consider alternative modes of travel.  You might consider driving or taking the train and possibly having someone pick you up when you arrive.  Another option is taking a private jet.  On a private jet you can bring several people which is beneficial if you are not travelling alone.

Another scenario might be a case in which you need to be somewhere at a specific time, but it is not feasible to arrange a commercial flight.   Also, if a group of people are  having a meeting  in a location that is not a route traveled by a commercial airline the best choice to consider based upon time and finances would be a private jet.

As there are over 3500 private airports worldwide there are many options available.  Another consideration when chosing the mode of travel is the time constraints.  Usually a private jet can be secured with several hours notice by a private jet broker. This is great advantage if your plans are last minute.

As I have outlined there are many options of travel available.  You must evaluate your needs based on time, finances, and distance from airports to make an informed  personal decision.
