June 16, 2009 - PRLog -- WCST goal is to create awareness about the importance of environmental conservation to schools and members of the public. Members of the society are invited to learn more about plants and wildlife through educational seminars and field trips. To assist Mr. Cosmas with all tasks, education seminars in school and communities, information sessions for member and non members and the development of other projects. Planning and participating in hands on field research. Exchanging knowledge and experience in terms of conservation.

Volunteers can assist by doing the following tasks: Conduct environment education in schools Organize activities for members and non members (ie: Bird watching) Organize information sessions that are held each month Work on articles for Quarterly newsletter and administration tasks Go on field trips in and out of the Arusha area to document and perform research. Tree Planting. Usually the volunteer can expect to go on a minimum of one field trip a month during the placement to do field research in national parks and surrounding rural areas. Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties: Helping to write and develop proposals, brochures, funding materials, etc.
