Volunteer at Samaritan Village Orphanage in Tanzania

June 16, 2009 - PRLog -- Samaritan Village Tanzania is committed to assisting vulnerable children to grow and become responsible citizens through provision of adequate care and safety, means to education, and advocating for childrens rights in love and compassion. Samaritan Village Orphanage needs help to care for the children while keeping them happy and busy. This will involve anything from playing with the children to giving the baths to helping to prepare meals with the staff. In the mornings help is needed preparing the children for school and at night with homework. During the day when the older children are at school the younger children and babies are still at the centre and need lots of attention and love.

Volunteer can assist by doing the following tasks: Preparing the children in the morning, playing with the children, helping with homework, planning activities at the house, helping with cooking and cleaning around the house, feeding and changing the babies. Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties: Planning extracurricular activities for the kids on holidays and weekends, helping in the office with English such as preparing brochures, writing letters and proposals.
