The Job Auction Expo is a NEW 'Auction-Style' Recruitment Event that allow 15 employers to post jobs up for bid and 378 qualified jobseekers to bid on jobs by 'pitching' their employable assets to recruiters and hiring managers for the chance to win interviews. ● Friday, August 21, 2009: “Meet The Job Auctioneer”

Meet The Job Auctioneer is a 30-Min Mock Job Auction Seminar that is held a half hour prior to the start of bidding. In this special practice session employers and job-bidders get the chance to meet the job auctioneer who will acquaint them with the process and pace of the bidding. The Mock Job Auction will be held from 9:30AM-10:00AM, in Room 201.

● Friday, August 21, 2009: “The Perfect Candidate Contest”

Inspired by the 2008 Presidential Debates, we will host The Perfect Candidate Contest: The On-The-Spot Interview Challenge at the end of Job Auction bidding. Two (2) contest finalist will be selected to face-off in a 1-hour, on-the-spot interview, to pitch their employable assets to a panel of recruiters and hiring managers before a live audience of professional peers for the chance to win a job! The Perfect Candidate Contest will be held from 4:30PM-6:00PM, in Room 201.
