May 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Summing up, chemist Dr. Axel Ingendoh, one of the three inventors listed on the patent, says: “The patent recognizes all the work we have put in. Once again, we have shown that LANXESS is on the right track as a well established specialty chemicals group. In fact, were it not for Baynox, the first biodiesel stabilizer to be approved by the German mineral oil providers, the market success now being enjoyed by the many small and large biodiesel producers would be hardly imaginable.”

Baynox can be used without reservation to enhance the shelf life of pure biodiesel and the biodiesel that is added (B5) to mineral diesel in line with statutory requirements. The product, which has been awarded the “no harm” certificate by the Biodiesel Quality Management Association e.V. (AGQM), is tolerated well by car engines. Its active ingredient BHT (butylhydroxytoluene) does not contain sulfur or nitrogen and combusts completely without leaving residues.
