eAccess II is now available to users with disabilities and is free!

The eAccess II project aims to provide users with visual impairments, and motor disabilities with learning opportunities to explore accessible training content and e-training courses, which are available at the web portal of eAccess II.
 
April 30, 2009 - PRLog -- eAccess II provides a training resources repository that can be envisaged to benefit two main groups of people. People with disabilities can use the free training resources uploaded in the platform for various themes of training while training providers can use the repository to exchange content with other colleagues. The repository already contains a vast amount of accessible training resources on a wide range of subjects.

Moreover, the project results will benefit users with disabilities, offering them accessible training content, which respects their educational needs and learning styles. In addition, the project results will help trainers to develop accessible e-training courses with the international specifications and standards in mind.

The main outcomes of the eAccess II project will be:
The envisaged impact of the eAccess II project is the awareness rising on digital literacy and equal training opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as facilitating the development of innovative practices in the field of vocational education and training. These innovative practices support the development of ICT-based content, services, pedagogies, and practice for Lifelong Learning.
People with disabilities in Europe have the opportunity to get trained through accessible training content, e-training courses, and e-training services individually or with groups. As a result, they have the potential to increase their knowledge.
Trainers and other professionals have the opportunity to use the repository of training resources produced by eAccess II for educational purposes. That is, they aim to train disabled people with eAccess II training materials.

The eAccess II project invites users with low vision, color blindness, and motor disabilities, as well as professionals in vocational education and training fields to register in its web portal. Once they register in the web portal, they will be able to learn new skills and concepts by downloading accessible training content and e-training courses.
