Anti-Aging: Realistic Goal or Elusive Vision

April 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Prof. Imre Zs-Nagy , MD, a part of the gerontology movement for forty years, and founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics published an article in 2007 depicting the gerontology establishment's campaign suppressing the anti-aging movement. The article, "Is Consensus in anti-aging medical intervention an elusive expectation or a realistic goal?" was later published online in 2009. Dr. Nagy's article takes a detailed look into the Gerontologist establishment reluctance to retract their position on the anti-aging society's use of science to promote a long healthy human life span. Dr. Zs-Nagy expresses his opinions on the controversial issues of the use of HGH in the anti-aging medical intervention and on a theoretical level attempts to propose a peaceful solution of the conflicts of views between the Gerontology society and the anti-aging society , which is the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M)

Dr. Nagy comment that, "They have (Gerontology Society) waged a wanton effort to sabotage and retard a global movement of clinicians, practicing physicians on the front lines who have embraced that aging is not inevitable and is, indeed, preventable."

The president of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) http://www.worldhealth.net ,Dr. Ronald Klatz, MD, DO stated, “The gerontology elite campaign has severely restricted the freedoms of physicians to administer life enhancing, and potentially life saving, therapeutics such ashGH and HRT therapies. The effect of this calculated campaign has held back the advancement of clinical anti-aging and HRT research, leading to unnecessary morbidity, and, likely – mortality, for millions of people worldwide.  In my opinion, this is a heinous crime against humanity. TheA4M remains committed to defending the independent physician and we applaud Prof. Imre Zs.-Nagy, MD for his courage and fearless commitment to intellectual and academic honesty.”  

For the gerontology establishment to redraw their condemnation of anti-aging medicine, would be admitting they were wrong.
