April 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Luxe Basics announces the launch of a new natural ingredient-based product, "Bamboo Crib Rail Covers" as an alternative to a synthetic based cover.

The concept was conceived by Bellini Teen and Juvenile Furniture, a retailer in Scarsdale, NY. The manager of this store, Robyn Weinstein, wanted a PVC-free alternative for her customers to protect crib rails. Most crib rail covers are made from plastic, but the soft bamboo crib rail covers prevent children from chewing on the crib, and protect them from harmful chemicals at the same time. Luxe Basics uses top quality materials and make all products in their Chicago studio.

Made of bamboo & cotton, batting, & secured through the crib slats by Velcro, the covers protect a crib rail from a teething child. Ask any infant, and he will tell you that there's just nothing better than a good crib rail for some "down home teething." The crib one may choose for a baby is one of the more important furniture buying choices new parents make. "Our bamboo crib rail covers securely fit over one crib rail to prevent your child from gnawing his little heart out on your beautiful new crib. As someone who used to chew on pencils, my hair, my purse strap, and my nails, my crib may have made it past my infancy if only my mother had one of our bamboo crib rail covers!" says Mary Mertens, President of Luxe Basics.

The company, Luxe Basics, offers a range of other products in the form of glider chair slipcovers, minky sheets, monogram pillows and pad covers. Says a satisfied customer Helen Janzcak "I have purchased three of the minky sheets for my granddaughter's crib. They are just the greatest. Please try to make them for adult beds. Let me know if you do. I would buy them so fast and tell all my friends about them also".
