Jacob's Edge Condominiums Cleans Up

April 15, 2009 - PRLog -- Home Improvement Associates, LLC, who recently announced the opening of Jacob’s Edge Condominiums, a 25 unit community of ranch style, single-floor living condominiums located at 161 Granby Road in South Hadley, Massachusetts is sponsoring a special Earth Day Trail Clean-Up event, on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 9:00 AM at South Hadley High School (Newton Street).  Coffee and donuts will be served prior to the morning’s activities. Volunteers are encouraged to join the crew from Home Improvement Associates as they help improve the trail system known as the Black Stevens Conservation Area.  Questions...call the South Hadley Conservation Department  at 413-538-5052, or just show up.  Bring gloves and a rake or other yard tools.  Bags are provided.

Local builder/developer Alan Tabin and partner Edward Cauley have been very involved with the trail system throughout the construction phase at Jacobs Edge, working with the local conservation department as well as other environmental agencies to help preserve this open space.  Currently they are helping to update the map of the area and the trail system that runs between So. Hadley High School and the Plains School. “The availability of access to passive recreation directly from Jacob’s Edge was very appealing to us.  We wanted to develop a low-impact community that offered residents something unique and important, other than just a great place in which to live.”   The ability to be close to this kind of opportunity isn’t unexpected.  “Everyone visiting our model home is very interested in the trail system.  There just isn’t anything like it locally.” says Tabin.
