Young & Associates Awarded Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification

April 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Washington, DC – Young & Associates, a technology public relations agency, today announced that it has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise from The Woman's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Young & Associates was founded in 1982 by Jean Young, who is currently the chairwoman of the board.

The WBENC certification for women-owned businesses is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation. WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business as well as an on-site inspection conducted by the regional committee. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by one or more women.
