This website is designed for people who work nights and weekends and have found it difficult to meet local singles like them who understand and accept their work schedule.


MyHoursSuck.com was started by Sarah Dunbar, a 24 year old restaurant hostess and Mike Hanson, 30, a night shift supervisor. Both have experienced the angst of online dating on normal websites and grew tired of being matched with people who worked opposite schedules. “I was always being matched with people who had to be in bed by the time I got out of work every night. There was no way that was going to work. I always thought, ‘I wish there was a website designed for people like me. So we started one,” says Sarah when asks how the idea was started.

Although the site was started in and for New York, its membership has exceeded 3,000 members from several different states in just a few weeks.  It is free to setup and create a profile. Subscriptions are available for $9.99/month, less than 30 cents per day!
