Tonnino´s formal presentation of uniform equipment to FAICO

March 15, 2009 - PRLog -- This partnership is committed to the long-term management and protection of Coco´s Island National Marine Park, World Natural Heritage Site (UNESCO 1997), Wetlands of International Importance (RAMSAR 1998), and recently nominated for the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The agreement consisted in Tonnino´s sponsorship of several projects to help, protect and preserve the Cocos´s Island National Park, natural paradise of Costa Rica. These included sponsoring several of the island’s training and education programs, cleaning and conservation initiatives, and the donation of uniform equipment to the island’s security officers.

Tonnino´s total donation amounted to over $12,000 which the company proudly gave to FAICO, $4000 of which were used to purchase and customize uniforms for the island’s guards. Among the uniform items purchased with this donation were jackets, embroidered shirts, long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts with solar filter, shorts with solar filter, transportation kit, water proof bags, and caps with solar filter. All these facilitate the work of the island’s officers, allowing them to have a superior quality lifestyle during their labor hours.

On Friday, February 13th, Tonnino was called by FAICO to participate in the formal presentation of the uniform equipment to the Coco´s Island security officers. A Tonnino representative attended such marvelous event, and FAICO´s general manager spoke kind words regarding Tonnino´s awareness and thanking the company’s efforts to conserve this important national park. The manager even encouraged other companies to follow Tonnino´s steps, and become more conscious of the importance of preserving nature. It called Tonnino an example to follow, and was grateful for our success and our honorable participation.
