SearchMyCampus Caters to Service Provider Needs

The first feature to go live is a set of profiles that enable recruiters, tutors, coaching centres and other service providers to communicate detailed information about themselves and their organization to prospective students. These will be displayed along with every classified advertisement so that students interested in an advertisement can view more details about the advertiser before they respond.

"We realized that employers didn't just need to tell students about their current openings, they needed to tell them about their organization and its culture. We've given them a platform to pitch their organization to prospective candidates" says Peyush Bansal, founder of the website. This service is available to both employers as well as student service providers. "While classified advertisements convey information about the immediate vacancy a housing provider has or a new course launched by a tuition centre, a profile page provides background information about the coaching centre or the housing provider organization" says Bansal.

Besides the advantage of additional branding space, these profiles increase the relevance of responses to advertisers. Students can make informed decisions about whether they want to work as part of a large organization or a smaller one. They can feel more secure transacting with housing providers, vehicle dealers, recruiter and others that they have more background information about. They can learn more about the credentials of prospective tutors and coaching organizations. This enables them to respond to advertisers that they are sure they want to transact with, thus increasing conversion rates for advertisers.

This feature was made live less than a week ago, and is already receiving a very positive response from service providers.
