MoneyTree - Let Your Kids Learn How the World Works Through Financial Literacy

Then instead of sulking or whining, imagine if your kids would say to you, ‘Dad, I know what you are saying. There’s a few things that I think I can do without to help control the expenses.’

The good news is that Money Tree has been training hundreds of school children for the past two years by exposing them to financial matters such as inflation, credit card spending, investments and how to plan for a better financial future. Children who have undergone training with MoneyTree workshops have a better grasp of financial understanding and how current affairs affect them and their world. It gives them a headstart at a young age to be able to see how everything relates to everything else financially. So by giving them the basic building blocks to understand how the world works, MoneyTree is able to inculcate good financial habits in children from very young school-going age.

For a limited time only, MoneyTree is bringing its two Fast Track Workshops to Kuching this school holidays. The workshops consist of The Junior Level 2-day workshop (for ages 9-13) will be held on March 16-17, and the Apprentice Level workshop (for ages 14-18) on March 18-19.

In the 2-Day Junior Level workshop, students are made to understand that most things in life will require money, therefore the better their understanding of Money, the more options they
can have in life. They will discover that Financial Freedom is about having BOTH Money & Time. Students will be challenged to see if their Money Beliefs are Positive or Negative and how these will form a Mindset that ultimately will develop habits which will either ensure a Bright Financial Future or tarnish it.

The 2-Day Apprentice Level Workshop, students will be taught that the to rules of Wealth creation and learn to understand the concept of Risk & Returns and how to use this concept in decision making. Students will be introduced to the common investment tools; Fixed deposit, Stock Market, Mutual Funds and Real Estate. They will learn the basics of these instruments and will be given hands-on experience via interactive sessions in class ie. A simulated stock market will be part of the activities.

The Money Tree workshops are run in an extremely fun way where children would not hesitate to yell or scream out answers in answering questions and to be able to win token Money Tree currency which can be exchanged for prizes at an auction at the end of the 2-Day sessions. The MoneyTree workshops are designed to be very experiential in nature where the kids learn through their own experiences of making good or bad investment decisions, or practice good or bad spending habits.

MoneyTree focuses on giving kids a wholesome, all-rounded picture of the importance of Money. Besides teaching kids how to save, earn, spend and invest their money, MoneyTree also teach kids about Philanthropy.
