EaglesNest Publications is pleased to announce that Barbara Ann Derksen has recently returned

from 12 years in the US. Canadian born and bred author, she makes her home in Steinbach MB. She is scheduled to do a book reading at the Jake Epp Library in Steinbach Manitoba on May 6th. She is a member of The Word Guild.

March 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Her agent, Joyce Hart of Hartline Literary Agency is currently handling her latest book Vanished, the first of a murder trilogy.

Barbara’s first mystery, Mind Trap, was chosen by Iowa Business and Professional Women as their selection for 2005. Dance With A Broom is a household management guide with time management principles, and she has produced two sets of children’s animal stories narrated on CDs, Shih-Tzu Puppy Adventures and Trumpeter Swan Adventures. Second to None, a collection of short stories written by Korean War veterans was compiled, edited and published in 2007. Barbara also wrote her first devotional in 2007. Straight Pipes is written to the biking community. Two-Up is her second devotional published in 2008. She has also been busy winning awards with her photography. She’s used her photos to enhance a line of inspirational cards.

Husband, HC Derksen released his first album of original gospel music in 2005. His music encourages, admonishes, and entertains as he sings in concert for churches, business group meetings, funerals, and for the military as well as for bikers from around the world. In 2007, Choices was released and Henry’s version of “God Bless America” is a hit wherever he goes.

This winter begins the production of new work. Barbara is working on a third devotional, Chrome, Shining Faith;  a compilation of children’s stories – Shih Tzu Puppy Adventures – and the completion of Vanished, a mystery – the first of a trilogy. Her inspirational cards, now 27 designs, have been used to bless many. People continue to ask for prints of the photos used for her card designs so this year she will add several matted prints to her book tables.

Henry is working on a new album, as well as several singles, that will be used in their ministry in 2009. Already, interested churches are looking to book HC (Henry’s stage name) for a concert this coming year. The couple also plans to open their schedule to concerts in the US between rallies this summer.
