San Diego Redevelopment Agency Hires Cook & Schmid

March 11, 2009 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, CALIF.—The City of San Diego’s Redevelopment Agency has selected Cook & Schmid to provide public relations, graphic design and community outreach services.  Cook & Schmid’s work will focus on raising awareness of the Agency’s affordable housing offerings, redevelopment projects and public participation opportunities throughout San Diego.

Cook, who will manage the firm’s work for the Redevelopment Agency, has been certified in the practice of public participation by the International Association of Public Participation.  Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), he is a past president of the San Diego chapter of PRSA.  He currently serves on the board of Rebuilding Together San Diego (RTSD), a local non-profit that provides home repairs at no cost to low-income homeowners to revitalize neighborhoods and stabilize families.  Over the last 15 years, RTSD has completed nearly 400 projects in San Diego County including, in recent years, renovations of several City of San Diego police and fire stations.

Cook & Schmid has counseled San Bernardino County, Riverside County, the Santa Fe Irrigation District, the Olivenhain Municipal Water District, the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, and MTS, San Diego’s regional transit agency, among other clients.
