Great Things Are Happening At Dominick Tringali Architects

March 4, 2009 - PRLog -- We are fortunate and pleased and to announce that 2008 was a great year for Dominick Tringali Architects, and 2009 is looking even better. Despite the challenging economic times, our firm continues to thrive and grow through innovative designs, creative marketing, and by providing a great experience for our clients.

Our firm will be launching a brand new website on Friday, March 6th. The site will feature new imagery of recent and current projects, educational resources, events and news updates, and new online services such as our Online Plan Review Service and a quick and easy portal to purchase our pre-drawn plans over the internet.

In addition to our new website, our firm is now connected to internet marketing sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WetPaint, and we have created a new blog which we post on regularly with updates about our firm, product recommendations, information about design trends, and tips and tools for green building.

In the fall of 2008, DTA was awarded a Builders Choice award from Builder Magazine for a 1,450 square foot, semi-custom home located in Beaufort, SC. This home also won best home of its size in the Best in American Living Awards at the 2009 International Builders Show in Las Vegas, NV. It also placed as a regional finalist for ‘Best Home in the South East United States.’ Five of our other projects were awarded finalist plaques in the 2008 BALA Awards as well.

We designed two show homes this year which we are hopeful will receive LEED-H Platinum certification. One is a two-story Habitat for Humanity home located in Pontiac, MI. It is featured in Eco Home Magazine this month as one of the first homes in the U.S. built for LEED Certification at just over $50 per square foot. The other home is the 2009 Somerset Collection show home, located in Birmingham, MI. Our firm is currently giving weekly tours of both homes; helping to educate builders, realtors, and members of the community about green design.

As our firm continues to charge forward with our DTA Green Initiative, we would like to congratulate Stephen McKay, Jr. and Mark Garagiola, both members of our staff who passed the LEED exam and achieved LEED Accreditation this week. In the fall of 2008, four other DTA staff members were also recognized as Certified Green Professionals through the NAHB.

DTA has started off 2009 with several new local commercial and residential projects; custom homes in Franklin, Orchard Lake, Lake Angelus, Sylvan Lake, Bloomfield Hills, and Oakland Township. We are working on Santino’s Restaurant in Washington Twp., a Powerhouse Gym in South Lyon, and two retail shopping centers in White Lake Twp. and Sterling Heights. Nationally, we are designing product lines for builders in Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, and Indiana.
