Washington, founder of Black Legal Issues and the Unequal Justice Legal Defense & Educational Fund, will present a keynote address at the 2009 National Black Pre-Law Conference.

His legal experience includes representing clients in a variety of commercial and general litigation matters, settlement negotiations, depositions, mediations, contract and business practice disputes, and other matters involving complex and unique issues. He represents clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Texas State Securities Board. Additionally, he provides legal advice for small business formations and assists businesses and individuals with contract negotiations. Further, he serves as a consultant to professional athletes in their selection of an agent to represent them in contract negotiations. His practice also includes representing a number of entertainers, including Michael Baisden and the Michael Baisden Show. Attorney Washington has remained actively involved as a proven leader in the Dallas Bar Association, the J.L. Turner Legal Association, and the National Bar Association. Currently, he serves as the deputy chief of staff for the National Bar Association.
