Sophia’s Heart Foundation Founded by Daniel “Danny” Gokey Begins to Implement Programs of Hope

In an effort to turn his tragedy into something greater, Danny Gokey hopes to impact communities with the love he and his wife shared for people and children. Two programs of hope have officially been released to the public by his organization.

Feb. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Sophia’s Heart Foundation, founded in memory of the late Sophia L. Gokey (the wife of Daniel “Danny” Gokey), has officially begun to implement programs of hope for children and youth nationwide.  With the help of generous donations, SHF plans to impact the lives of students via the following programs:

Music and Arts Program: Aimed at donating instruments to children and youth that cannot afford to buy their own.

Sophia L. Gokey Scholarship Fund: Aimed at donating scholarships in the amount of $1000 to High School seniors who have faced significant roadblocks or challenges on the path to pursuing their dream.

SHF is dedicated to making a long-term impact in the lives of countless youth.  These two programs mark only the beginning of that commitment.  Sophia’s Heart Foundation exists to help mend and heal the hearts of children who have been touched by poverty, sickness, disease, broken families and broken dreams.
