Bigger Dot Earns an FSC Certification

Feb. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Long Beach, CA – bigger dot, an international provider of innovative print and communications solutions based in Long Beach, has been granted a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody Certification by the third party auditing body, Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). Their FSC Chain-of-Custody Certifcation number is SCS-COC-002074.  

The formal process of Chain-of-Custody Certification requires bigger dot to follow specific procedures and protocol to ensure that FSC-Certified paper purchased and used is tracked and remains within the established “chain” from tree  harvesting to the finished product.

An FSC Chain-of-Custody Certification gives bigger dot and their clients the opportunity to specify FSC-certified paper for their print projects and to display the FSC logo. An FSC logo demontrates a commitment to environmental responsibility, social benefits and management of the world’s forests.  

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. It provides standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies and organizations interested in responsible forestry.
