Life Of David H. Brooks

Jan. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- David H. Brooks is the founder and former chief executive of DHB Industries Inc. David H. Brooks is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of our American Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in the Global War Against Terror. DHB Industries Inc designed the state of the art body armor that is being used by millions of Americans today. David H. Brooks designed the Interceptor body armor jacket that is capable of stopping a bullet from a 9mm handgun, block shrapnel, and provided protection against AK-47 assault rifles.
      David H. Brooks was born the middle child of three boys to Jewish immigrants and Holocaust survivors. In his later youth, David spent time growing up in Brooklyn, later relocating to Hewlett, Long Island. Where he started his company DHB Industries Inc.    
His mother was born in Warsaw, Poland spending four years in the Concentration Camp based in Auschwitz . She then escaped to Sweden and eventually arrived in the United States to live with an uncle from her side of the family. The remainder of her direct family all perished in Auschwitz . His mother is a strong minded and controlling woman whom David has always perceived as living a fearless life. She presently lives in Florida and suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
    In the early 1990s, he was running a small brokerage business with his brother when decided to seek a new line of work. Brooks then turned his attention to a small body armor company on the verge of bankruptcy. David H. Brooks then bought this company for a rock bottom price of $800,000 and saved the original owners from foreclosure. The great success and service that David H. Brooks has brought to the military has helped bring millions of soldiers home to their families.
