The Symposium will take place at the on September 25, and 26 2009.  It is the first of its kind held in Northeast Pennsylvania, United States of America. The 2009 World Green Energy Symposium will showcase new, alternative, sustainable and innovative product development and green energy opportunities for businesses and the consumer at large.    

The Symposium’s focus will include current policy information, new policy ideas and world policy views.  It will focus on green technology options available and already succeeding as well as opportunities for networking, learning, exchanging, exhibiting and investing in the future of the new energy and green technology.  It provides the opportunity for businesses from around the world, large and small to showcase their products to an enthusiastic and forward thinking audience.

The organizing committee is made up of leading organizations throughout the United States of America. Northeast Pennsylvania was selected for the first World Green Energy Symposium because of its strategic location to a large demographic audience, large populace of universities and students, long standing focus on new and alternative energy, its energy policies. Northeast Pennsylvania’s proven commitment to enhancement of its economic landscape while protecting its environmental integrity, combined with the above were conducive to attracting the intended audience and success of the first World Green Energy Symposium in the United States.

In addition to the national committees, leading Pennsylvania state and regional organizations are involved in the planning committees; they include, NEWSS.US, GGW, Inc., Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal, Regional Chambers of Commerce, Regional Vacation Bureaus, Regional Universities, Local, State and Federal Legislators, Ben Franklin Institute. Regional sponsors are being unveiled among them Wachovia Arena, the Woodlands, and Mohegan Sun.        

With the understanding that implementation of new and “green” energy alternatives is the responsibility of ALL mankind, the 2009 World Green Energy Symposium and Exposition brings together world government leaders, CEO’s and business leaders, large and small businesses, institutions of higher learning, students, consumers and the world media together in an atmosphere conducive to information exchange on new and alternative green energy possibilities and opportunities for future generations.
