Fantasy Writer Publishes Adventurous Tale
Her Book Delves into the Imaginative Realms of Witches and Wizards

Bloomington, IN (December 22, 2008)— After her soul was stirred by the wonder of The Wizard of Oz, six-year-old Sandra Bell Kirchman vowed that one day she would write stories that would send the mind and spirit into a world of fantasy. The second edition of her book, Witchcanery, proves just that as she takes readers into the magical world of witches and wizards.

Kirchman originally wrote the novel in only 28 days for the Nanowrimo contest of 2002. In the four and a half years following, the novel underwent a number of revisions until she and her team was satisfied with the resulting product.

Witchcanery shares the adventurous tale of Shelley Kesinkowsky, who is no ordinary witch. She prides herself in being a modern, computerized witch, and undoubtedly has a skill for constructing golems—virtually alive, human-type beings.

When planet Earth faces trouble from the fury of the golem legionnaires of Mother Earth, the Grand Council of Wizards turns to Shelley, whose special golem-creating ability suddenly becomes a much needed commodity. The council orders her to create a custom-built golem that will, with the help of Shelley's former nemesis, High Wizard Jason Jeph, mysteriously keep Earth from destruction. Unknown to the young witch, however, is the lethal card Jason holds should Shelley's golem fail. In a page-turning story of magic, danger and heroism, Witchcanery takes readers on a rollercoaster ride like no other.

“To top it all off, there is a sweet and gentle love story threaded innocuously throughout—not blatant enough to disgust the male reader who wants action and adventure, nor invisible enough to disappoint the more romantic reader,” states Kirchman.

The journey of Witchcanery mixes the ancient and the modern, with fascinating and imaginative adult characters who have met the challenges of living in a society not their own as well as helping save the planet. A fantasy lover’s dream, Kirchman’s compelling story keeps readers on their toes until they turn the last page. More information can be obtained at www.fantasyfic.com.
