Dec. 11, 2008 - PRLog -- North Wilkesboro, NC - Window World Inc. (http://www.windowworld.com) joined forces with Veterans Airlift Command to provide free air transportation for Iraq War veteran, Corporal Zachary Briseno, as a part of his continuing rehabilitation.  Briseno was flown from Wilmington, North Carolina to his home in Fort Worth, Texas, accompanied by his new service dog, Eve, who will help him with day-to-day tasks.  Briseno lost both of his legs below the knees almost a year ago in an IED attack in Fallujah.

“I know that corporate jet ownership has come under scrutiny of late,” said Todd Whitworth, CEO of Window World (http://www.windowworld.com).  “We try to take every opportunity to use the good fortune of our company to support the community.  Zac, and the other men and women in uniform today, embody the very highest ideals of American sacrifice and conviction.”  Briseno was joined on the flight by his son, Elijah and his mother, Mariana  Rice.

Johnny Johnston, senior pilot of the Window World (http://www.windowworld.com) aircraft, enjoyed the privilege of meeting Zach and his family on this voyage.  “I had 23 years of military service, including flying Chinook helicopters during my tour in Vietnam,” said Johnston.  “To see the next generation step up and serve gives me tremendous pride.”

Briseno will continue his rehabilitation in Texas.  He plans a career in law enforcement.

Window World (http://www.windowworld.com) is partnered with Veterans Airlift Command on an ongoing basis.

About Window World:

Window World (http://www.windowworld.com) was founded in 1995 by Leon Whitworth. The office was a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It didn’t look like much but Leon had big plans for this company. He wasn’t going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He wasn’t going to do things like they had always been done. A slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his price at $1,000 or even $1,200 per window, creates bogus discounts, and tries to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. The other end of the spectrum is the guy who has cheap prices along with an inferior product that won’t last very long.

That small roadside stand has now grown into almost 205 Window World offices (http://www.windowworld.com/stores/) in 46 states, and is still growing. We are now one of the largest home improvement companies in America. Each location is locally owned and operated. This insures each customer that his or her project gets the individual attention it deserves. Our owners and their personnel receive in depth training on a monthly basis to keep them on the leading edge of the industry. At Window World we know the job yesterday will land us the job down the street tomorrow. We do our best on every job, everyday.
