Dec. 10, 2008 - PRLog -- Set against the stunning backdrop of South Africa, two unlikely protagonists meet and fall in love only to find themselves separated by dire and unexpected circumstances.

Paul Fairfax is an environmental scientist, disillusioned with the way people in authority ignore scientific evidence in making management decisions.   Asha is a brilliant student who wins a pop star singing competition.  After two years in show business, Asha finds that a life of fame isn’t what she thought it would be.

The two meet by chance and both believe their encounter may be the beginning of a new path.  But their new found love affair hits a bump when Asha is nearly raped by her domineering manager.  In the meantime, Paul discovers a dubious development in an estuary and his life is endangered while he attempts to rescue the lives of others.

Does Paul survive?  Will Asha recover and will she have to rebuild a life without Paul?

This action packed novel is full of intrigue, complex and well-drawn characters, and a plot that grabs the reader by the throat.  Deftly written with environmental concerns and present day political corruption interweaved throughout, Patterns of Change keeps the suspense mounting until the final pages.
