Dec. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- Diary of an Insane Woman is a riveting novel that blends author, Pauline Drouin-Degorgue’s voice with that of the protagonist’s tortured soul.

Inspired by the legendary and unsolved murder of Jonbenèt Ramsey, Drouin-Degorgue correlates this fascinating fiction with the tragic event.

Heidy Montgomery grows up entering beauty contests which she wins throughout her life.  Her “friend” (or Demon?) encourages Heidy to shoot for the stars.  Heidy ultimately marries a wealthy man and she bears a wonderful child, Johanna.  Heidy’s quest for her own daughter to succeed in the cut throat world of child beauty contests gives her life purpose.  She adores her daughter but inside she is filled with an animosity she can’t explain.

Her daughter is murdered.  Who kills Heidy’s daughter?  How can Heidy ever let go of her past and what role does she have in Johanna’s young life being cut short?

Drouin-Degorgue deftly weaves a tale of a woman tormented by self-imposed Demons.  The result is a page-turner of a novel that exposes the psyche of woman’s tortured soul.  It explains the unexplainable—the lengths one goes through to exorcise those obscure things which can destroy a life.
