Campus to Host Renaming Ceremony


WHAT:               RETS Technical Center is now known as Kaplan Career Institute.  Located in Charlestown, Mass., the school will host a ceremony on Dec. 3, to celebrate its new name.

                          The event will begin with remarks from Campus Executive Director Stephen Carter and Kaplan Higher Education President Jeff Conlon.  Also planning to attend and speak is State Sen. Anthony Galluccio.

The name change is part of a broader strategy to better reflect the Kaplan brand.  By changing its name to Kaplan Career Institute, the school will be formally recognized as being part of the Kaplan family.  Kaplan, Inc. is a global provider of education services, and its name reflects a long-standing reputation for excellence.  

Kaplan executives, local officials, faculty and students will attend the ceremony, which will include a ribbon cutting.  This will be followed by a reception with refreshments and student-led tours of the school.

WHEN:              Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2 to 4 p.m.
                          Remarks will begin at 2:15, followed by sign reveal and refreshments
