PRLog -- Dr. Benjamin Borson is the president of Borson Law Group PC, a full-service, intellectual property law firm that offers high quality, client-based, intellectual assets to life science and high technology industries throughout the world. Dr. Borson has been in this appointment since 2006 and is depended on to oversee all of the firm’s operations. Additionally, Dr. Borson practices in the area of intellectual property as counsel for numerous international and domestic companies in the chemistry, bioinformatics and information technology industries. In this capacity, he provides legal, scientific, business and technical advice to help companies build relationships and intellectual assets through developing IP strategies, securing patents, preparing legal opinions and licensing. Dr. Borson has extensive experience as a research scientist in both university and corporate settings and served on the editorial boards of several peer review publications and grant review committees. Prior to pursuing a career in law, he held a faculty position at the University of California, San Francisco, where he led the biomedical research program and published more than 70 research articles, reviews and book chapters. Dr. Borson is licensed to practice law in the State of California, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his J.D. in law and a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of San Francisco, and a M.A. in biology from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Borson is on the board of directors of the Balboa Terrace Homeowner’s Association, supports the American Lung Association and the American Physiological Society and is an esteemed member of the American Association of Cell Biologists. At home in Concord, California, he enjoys music, mountaineering, aviation, cooking and rock climbing.
