PRLog -- Katharine R. Chandler is the president and chief executive officer of Ability Plus Inc., a nonprofit organization located in Waterville Valley New Hampshire that is dedicated to helping disabled people of all abilities realize their dreams of inclusion through adaptive skiing and other recreation opportunities. Katharine founded Ability Plus in 1997 and is responsible for overseeing all of its operations. She manages eight different programs, supervises staff and provides training for volunteers, engages in fundraising, writes grants and provides strategic development for the organization’
s future. In addition to this, Katharine is also the founder and director of the Waterville Valley Adaptive Skiing Program. While these obligations are both time consuming and comprehensive, she aspires to increase the scope of Ability Plus’ service and turn it into a full service, state-of-the-
art sports and recreation facility for the disabled. Katharine exercises this diligence and enthusiasm in all of her endeavors. She is active within the community, supports the Massachusetts Special Olympics and is a member of the PSIA. She graduated from Leslie College with a master’s degree in management and is a professional ski trainer. At home in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, Katharine enjoys playing tennis, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
