PRLog -- Ken Emmons is the district safety manager of School District No. 23 in Central Okanagan, British Columbia,Canada. He has been in this capacity for more than six years and is depended on to ensure the health and safety of forty sites and nearly three thousand employees and students. Ken is a seasoned veteran in safety standards and procedures, having begun his career as a firefighter and serving for two consecutive decades as a work safety and prevention officer and first aid examiner. He is presently pursuing certification in disability management, is an esteemed member of the CSSE and past president of the BCSSA. Ken holds CRSP designation, is an external safety advisor and a graduate of the diploma program for instruction in post secondary endorsement. Ken is well known and widely admired, by both student and colleague, for his proficiency and professionalism. He credits his success to his passion for working with people and to his dedication to improve safety throughout the district, community and country. Ken is equally attentive to the community on a personal level and supports several organizations that benefit educational programs. Outside of the district offices, he enjoys spending time with family, volunteers for the Special Olympics, walks and is an avid golfer.
