PRLog -- Pamela Dosenberry began her exemplary career in education as a teacher. For more than twenty-five years, she instructed at several grade levels and for a variety of learning capacities. Pamela’
s earliest teaching experience was in special education where she taught students who were both cognitively and emotionally impaired. She went on to educate students with behavioral problems and severe mental limitations as well as students with physical limitations such as the hearing and visually impaired. It was during the last three years of her distinguished teaching career, when she was instructing 5th and 6th graders in a public school setting, that she became interested and involved with the Teachers Association. Upon her retirement and a subsequent year-long hiatus, she was offered and accepted the appointment of board president for the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools Board of Education. Pamela has been in this capacity for two years and is depended on to direct the operations of the entire district. This includes developing academic curriculum, supervising the athletics departments, providing faculty training and support, maintaining food inventories, overseeing maintenance and balancing the budget. While these are significant obligations, Pamela is able to execute them with the utmost efficiency due to her extensive background in education, innate leadership ability and commitment. This dedication is equally evident in her personal and academic pursuits. Pamela graduated from Central Michigan University with a master’s degree in educational administration and is an esteemed member of the Michigan Association of School Boards. She is active within the community and volunteers at the local hospice and church. Pamela’
s educational values have an equivalent importance in her personal life and she expresses this by hosting a foreign exchange student from Japan. Away from the board offices and in her spare time, Pamela enjoys reading historical biographies, traveling and gardening.
In recognition of an exceptional career in education, Pamela Dosenberry is being included in the 2008/2009 Princeton Premier Registry alongside the most prominent business leaders and professionals of every industry, from around the globe.
